Christine Bathelt

In my paintings I integrate the basic essences of life: movement, power and the invigorating clash of light and darkness.

About the artist

Christine Bathelt, born in Vienna in 1982, after training as an economist and after sobering experiences in the financial sector, recognized the power of doubt and found a form of expression of her imagination and mental resilience in art. In her art, abstract, colour-intensive painting are created with acrylic paints, which move in an interplay of clear forms and a cloudy dance of colors. Christine Bathelt allows the observer to delve deep into the vastness of inspiration and interpretation. The artist also builds a bridge between the abstract and the semi-real space of imaginative representations of the universe. This examination of the symbiosis of cosmic order and the energy of the play of colors leads to a perceived limitlessness when looking at the paintings.

Together with CheetahCraft worldart, the artist now has the opportunity to make her works accessible to a wider audience and to expand her reach.

About Christine

I paint colorful visions and exotic worlds. The creation of something new and something that has never been seen before is my motivation when making my pictures. I work intuitively and move wherever the painting process leads. In doing so, I integrate the basic essences of life itself into my pictures: movement, power and the invigorating collision of light and darkness.

I chose abstract painting because abstraction allows me to create completely freely and without limits in terms of colors and shapes. In the sense of the unconditional freedom of space and thought, I complement my abstract works with an area that exerts an endless fascination on me: outer space.

Although I am unable to physically travel to distant galaxies, I can open windows to fantastic and magical places in space through painting. In painting, I not only love the unlimited creative freedom, but also the craft itself, which for me is inextricably linked to the creation of something new. Working with colors, textures and materials is a constant source of joy and inspiration for me.
