Georg Pummer was born in Austria in 1983 and discovered his love for art and his innate talent for painting at a young age. After successfully completing the master's examination as a car-painter and custom painter in 2007, he devoted himself entirely to his passion and began to paint without any art-study as his background. As an artist, Georg Pummer often deals with the relationship between people, nature and technology. His early works are therefore characterized by abstract landscapes and apocalyptic conditions. Driven by indifference and greed, people have almost wiped out flora and fauna in this futuristic parallel world. Now humanity itself is on the verge of existence - a state of irony in which surrealist approaches with profound symbolism form the overall picture of a melancholy vision of the future. The fusion of organic and technical components is an important feature of his art both in Georg Pummer's early work and in the current portrait series. By developing his unique "glitch style", Georg manages to incorporate subliminal technical elements into portraits that are hardly noticeable as such at first glance. Because the affinity to technology from his previous job remains an essential part of his life, which he now combines with art in his portraits. Since 2015 his works of art have been shown at major art exhibitions in Miami, LA, New York, Shanghai, Busan, Venice, Florence, Rome, London, Vienna, Paris, Antibes, Cannes, Amsterdam and many more. exhibited and now in his collaboration with CheetahCraft worldart he also has the opportunity to present his artworks on the international art market.

With my unmistakable "glitch style" I combine realistic portraits with digital aesthetics. This unusual painting technique was created through my meticulous working method and attention to detail. The fine color distortions and pixel disturbances appear like a screen flicker, which triggers an interference between classic portrait painting and digital portrait photography. My artworks are a painterly interpretation of digital photo-motifs and symbolize the fusion between tradition and technology. At the same time, they are also a reflection of progress and impermanence. In my artistic cosmos, opposites are an integral part of my creative work. Absolute beauty and youth as well as imperfection and decay - all of these states are subject to change and thus belong to the symbol of vanitas.
For me, even infinity is part of a time-limited cycle. To illustrate this state, I work with different layers of paint and in this way emphasize different facets of my portraits. These works therefore seem like snapshots of an existence before the color-bound manifestation of human representations slowly dissolves into individual color particles - because nothing is forever...Because of that the title "Nothing is Forever" emerges for my current creative cycle. The focus is on portraits that reflect beauty and transience at the same time.
