Roswitha Schablauer was born in Bruck an der Mur and studied at the Federal Commercial Academy in Bruck/Mur. For a few years she also headed the Kapfenberg adult education center. She devoted herself intensively to the visual arts throughout her professional career. She has been intensively involved in painting for many years. The love of color characterizes her works. Through constant further training in workshops and seminars with recognized artists, as a member of painting groups (e.g. life drawing in the Vienna Künstlerhaus) and in exchange with other artists, she has gained a good overview of the painting environment. Since 2006 she has been actively exhibiting at home and abroad as well as taking part in the Biennale in Florence, art fairs in Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Padova, Genova, Forti, Carrara as well as Paris Nice and Cannes represented by international galleries.
I intensively observe my environment, the beauty and colors in nature. This awakens in me a strong desire to capture this in pictures. Initially with photography, but then my need to capture this in color became greater and greater, so I joined a painting group and trained with renowned artists over the course of several years. My pictures are full of life and are created out of the desire to paint. Making exhibitions enriches my life with beautiful events and wonderful people that I get to know.
